This course covers the development of art forms from the Renaissance period to the present. It focuses on key artworks, movements, cultural contexts, and artistic styles from roughly the 15th century through modern and contemporary art. Emphasis is placed on understanding art terminology, design principles, stylistic developments, and how art reflects social and historical change. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an historical understanding of art as a product reflective of human social development
